Hi Yuvaraja,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback regarding your recent purchase of Bliss Tree Ponni Boiled Rice. I’m sorry to hear that this batch didn't meet your expectations, especially if you’ve enjoyed this rice in the past.
We take the quality of our grains seriously, but we have actually noticed a recurring trend that might be at play here: Water hardness (PPM levels).
Why Water Matters
The mineral content in your water can significantly change how rice absorbs moisture and softens. We recently had a customer who moved from Parsippany to Princeton; they found that the exact same bag of rice that cooked perfectly in Parsippany didn't turn out well in Princeton due to the difference in local water quality.
A Few Suggestions to Try:
Check PPM Levels: If you have a TDS/PPM meter, check your tap water. High mineral content (hard water) can often result in rice that feels undercooked or has a different texture.
Try Filtered/Bottled Water: For your next pot, try using filtered or bottled water. This is the quickest way to determine if the local water supply is impacting the grain.
Adjust Soak Time: If your water is harder, increasing the soaking time by 15–20 minutes can sometimes help the water penetrate the grain more effectively.
We want to make sure you have a great experience with our products. Please give the filtered water method a try and let us know if it makes a difference!
Best regards,
Lakshmipriya
